        Important note

This planner provides a starting point based on group size and selected preferences. Five Guys portions, appetite and local menu availability vary. Adjust the suggestion to your group.

        Fries

How Many Fries Should You Order?

Five Guys fries are freshly cut and cooked in 100% refined peanut oil, with a scoop added on top of every order. This section helps visitors decide how much to order when sharing — figures below are approximate calories for Five Guys-style fries. Portions can vary by restaurant, so treat these as planning help rather than a guarantee.

Small, medium and large servings of golden fries

        Little

Smallest fry size on the menu — a lighter option for one person or a lighter appetite.

        ≈526 Cal

        Regular

The middle size — a common starting point when comparing portion needs.

        ≈953 Cal

        Large

The largest standard size, often considered for sharing or bigger appetites.

        ≈1,314 Cal

Size-specific calories above come from Five Guys’ detailed U.S. Nutrition & Allergen Guide. The main Five Guys fries page displays a broader 530–1,100 calorie range, so published Five Guys figures are not fully consistent across its official pages.

              Dietary & Nutrition

              Dietary & Nutrition Help

Availability and preparation can vary by country and by individual restaurant. Always confirm directly with the location you plan to visit, especially for allergen or cross-contact concerns. Read our full dietary and allergen guide for more detail.

              Allergen Information

Five Guys publishes an official nutrition and allergen guide listing ingredients that contain milk, wheat, egg, and peanut. Cross-contact is possible throughout the kitchen, so check the current guide for your specific allergy before ordering.

              Gluten-Conscious Options

The bun contains wheat, but the fries themselves are gluten-free, and burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches can be ordered bunless in a lettuce wrap or burger bowl. Cross-contact is still possible in a shared kitchen.

              Peanut Oil

All Five Guys fries are cooked in 100% refined peanut oil, and burgers are grilled without oil. Five Guys states tree nuts are not used in its menu items, but acknowledges a cross-contamination risk for peanut allergies.

              Vegetarian Choices

The Veggie Sandwich, Cheese Veggie Sandwich, and Grilled Cheese are the main non-meat options, and Five Guys notes its cheese is made without meat-based enzymes. There is no dedicated vegetarian kitchen area, so cross-contact with grilled meat is possible.

              Halal by Country

In the U.S., Five Guys states its beef is not certified kosher, halal, or organic. Availability differs elsewhere — for example, select UK locations serve halal beef, with a few fully certified and others halal-beef-only alongside pork and alcohol. Always confirm with your local restaurant.

              Bunless / Low-Carb

Burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches can be ordered bunless as a Burger Bowl or wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun — a practical option for lower-carb or gluten-conscious ordering, though it is not marketed as a certified gluten-free preparation.

              FAQ

              Quick Five Guys Answers

How many patties are in a regular Five Guys burger?
A Regular Five Guys burger (Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Bacon Burger, or Bacon Cheeseburger) is built with two hand-formed beef patties. Little versions of the same burgers use a single patty instead. You can also ask for an extra patty added to any burger, which increases both the price and the calorie count.
What is the difference between Little and Regular burgers?
The main difference is patty count: Little burgers use one patty, Regular burgers use two. This carries through to calories — a Little Hamburger is 540 calories versus 840 for a Regular Hamburger, per Five Guys’ official menu. Toppings, bun, and preparation are otherwise identical across both sizes.
Are Five Guys fries good for sharing?
Five Guys fries are known for generous portions, and even the Little size is often enough for more than one person. Five Guys adds extra fries to every order but does not publish an official ‘serves X people’ figure, so treat any sharing estimate as a planning guideline rather than a guarantee.
Does Five Guys have a kids menu?
No — Five Guys does not offer a dedicated kids menu. The company’s official FAQ explains that its portions are designed to be shared, and suggests ordering a Little Hamburger, a hot dog, or a Grilled Cheese cut in half as practical options for children instead of a separate kids’ meal. See our kids menu guide for more.
Does Five Guys have combo meals?
Five Guys has been testing combo options at select locations rather than offering them nationwide. The Classic Combo (a Little Burger, Little Fry, and drink) launched at 177 U.S. test locations in January 2025, and a Make It a Meal add-on is available at participating restaurants. Availability and pricing vary by location.
              Does Five Guys serve breakfast?
At select locations only. Five Guys’ official menu lists breakfast items such as Egg & Cheese, Egg Sandwich, Bacon Egg & Cheese, and Egg & Bacon, each marked ‘available at select locations.’ Breakfast is not a nationwide offering, so check your local restaurant’s hours before planning a morning visit. See our breakfast availability guide for details.
Why do Five Guys prices vary by location?
Five Guys is a franchise-heavy system, and individual restaurants set their own prices based on local costs like rent, labor, and ingredients. Five Guys does not publish a single nationwide price list — exact pricing is only available through your local restaurant’s in-store menu or its page on the Five Guys ordering platform. See our prices guide for more on why costs vary.
Can I order a bunless burger?
Yes — Five Guys offers bunless options for burgers, hot dogs, and sandwiches. You can choose a Burger Bowl, served in a foil-lined bowl, or a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. This is a helpful choice for gluten-conscious or low-carb ordering, though it is not marketed as a certified gluten-free preparation.
